3/5 choose “Community Involvement” over “Made in Country” when buying gym equipment

Obviously, these are typically two of the important traits that many look at when buying gym equipment (especially when comparing similar products), but community involvement came out on top this time.

“Community Involvement” votes are up 16% compared to what we saw last year.

Predictions on the future of Bulletproof Fitness remain about the same as last year

To start, the most popular answer regarding Bulletproof Fitness‘ future is that they will create a few good products with about 38% of the votes. Another 10% believe they’ll be a force, 16% fad, and another 36% does not know who BF is.

The data below shows that these numbers were very similar to what we saw last year.

Barbell Ownership is on the Rise

This is the third year in a row we’ve asked how many barbells you own. A whopping 87% own multiple!

Below is a look at the past three years. You can see that those owning four or more has nearly doubled.

Most own multiple barbells because they want variety/specialty bars in their routine.

Lastly, here are some quick hitters

  • 64% are parents (same as last year)
  • 52% say resting when necessary is more difficult than (48%) working out enough
  • 46% have bought equipment already in 2024
  • 10% consider themselves a barbell snob (vs. 12% last year)
