Lat pulldowns are so hot right now

Intro to Survey

The last hot or not survey took a look at a number of specialty items for the gym. This list included reverse hypers, lat pulldowns, a leg press, and more.

20 Second Summary

  • The budget friendly option (Bells of Steel Pulley) was no match for the other strength machines. Either was a compact leg press.

The Results

Based on Instagram Story Voting, the “Hot Rating” is an average of the points per vote where:

  • Hot = 3 points
  • Warm = 1 points
  • Neutral = 0 points
  • Cold = -2 points

Therefore, the highest possible average is 3, and the lowest is -2. Below are the results.

Highlights

  • The Lat Pulldown Towers have recently become a hot topic among home gym owners and the Rogue LP-2 impressed. For reference it was voted just behind the Rogue Echo Bike, which was voted on a few weeks prior. The LP-2 beat out the Plate Loadable Lat Tower from Titan by a decent amount, but even this Titan option had 2 times more hot votes than cold.

REP FT-3000 Compact Functional Trainer

  • In a battle of reverse hyper/GHD combos, the Vulcan Kraaken-Hyper easily beat out the more budget friendly Reverse Hammer from Bells of Steel, which had the most “warm” votes of all. The Westside Scout Hyper was voted in between these two.

  • The Rogue LP-2 also had the highest hot/cold ratio with only 1 “cold” vote for every 10 “hot” votes.

That’s it!
