American Muscle Products is Making Some Beautiful Plates

These beautiful plates were restored from Drew and his newly found hobby/company in Glendale Arizona. He noticed many people were selling plates in terrible conditions for outrageous prices and knew that this could be done better. He’s always loved to paint and saw this as an opportunity. He sold his first set about a month ago and does not plan on looking back!

Today, he sells everything locally on Offer Up and Craigslist. Drew only started this IG page recently after a customer suggested he post his work online. The positive response from the home gym community has been excellent!

Keep hustling, Drew!

Can you tell the difference between these hex dumbbells?

Me either. One is from Rogue and another is from Walmart. The lesson here is that most dumbbells like this are very similar. You still want to make sure you are purchasing from a reputable brand, but if you are desperate for them these days just take what you can find!

Sunday Survey Results from 6/6/2020

Last weeks survey was just a number of head to head equipment battles where you chose which item you’d rather have. Highlights include:

  • The biggest blowouts were the battle ropes over the inertia wave and the garage over the basement.
  • Bumper plates gained 70% of the votes vs iron plates
  • Dumbbells whooped kettlebells
  • GHD over reverse hyper, but adjustable bench over GHD
  • Rower narrowly beats the rower
  • Most prefer Horse Stall Mats to a DL platform.

What Else to Check Out

  • There was a giveaway for a front squat harness last week. You can find the review here!
  • The Rubber Atlas Stones from Rogue are built solidly, easy to grip, and will add some versatility to your home gym, but probably not as much as something like a sandbag or slam ball, which can be tossed to the ground. Nevertheless, if you have some extra cash, and are competing for strongman or just want a new toy for the gym, these are an excellent option to add to the gym.
