Introduction
For the second year in a row, we asked the community in a TRUE/FALSE format whether REP makes the best benches for home gyms.
In 2023, 68% voted “true,” and this year, 64% agreed.
So, a majority still believe REP makes the best benches for home gyms.
It’ll be interesting to see next year’s results, especially as competition grows and options from brands like Ironmaster gain popularity.
Why are we seeing these results?
While opinions may vary, the data strongly supports REP Fitness as a top choice for home gym benches. I generally agree, though I’d likely still add the Ironmaster Super Pro Bench to my setup first. I just wanted to point that out.
REP Fitness has built a reputation for high-quality, popular benches like the AB-3000 2.0, AB-5000 Zero Gap, and AB-5200. These models offer adjustable positions (flat, incline, and decline), are aesthetically pleasing, and include a strong weight capacity. They’re valued for their durability, versatility, and affordability, making them tough to beat in quality and value.
They have a wide variety of options that fit many budgets.
Additionally, many brands have recently released REP-inspired benches, showing that REP is leading in innovation for this style of bench.
Who wouldn’t be interested in a REP Bench?
There are a few primary reasons why a REP bench isn’t best for you.
- You want Made in USA: REP benches are not made in the USA, unlike Rogue benches, which may be a preference for some buyers.
- You’re on a tight budget: While REP benches offer excellent value for their quality, they can be more expensive than some budget options, which could be a factor for those just starting their home gym on a limited budget.
- You want a bench with attachments: Some may prefer a bench that can do more than just provide a place to lift. Brands like Ironmaster and Prime have created ecosystems with compatible attachments, such as leg curl/extension options, allowing for more versatility in workouts.
