This wall-mounted storage option is a budget-friendly and effective way to get three (or six) barbells off of the ground. For $35 (or $56) and about 15 minutes of work, you’ll have a cleaner and better-looking space.
The Most Important Details
The most important factor is probably the price. With this option, you are not paying extra to have the name of a more well-known brand on it. When taking into consideration the shipping, it’s quite a bit cheaper than other companies. You can also save more if you need two (just $56). Plus, it’s offered through Amazon Prime, so shipping will be speedy. Rogue’s are $60 before shipping (no hardware included), REP’s is $69.99, and Titan only offers a 6 bar option for $99.99. Even for those considering a DIY project, the price is likely good enough to allow you not to spend your precious time working on this as a project.
There are no instructions, but it is straightforward to install into studs. Instructions should be included, though. All of the hardware needed to install is added (unlike when buying wall-mounted storage from Rogue).
The holders are constructed with 7 gauge steel and powder coated in black. There aren’t any issues with the durability or strength of the product. They sit extremely solidly against the wall when in place.
In addition, UHMW plastic pads are added to protect your barbell from getting dinged up or dulling the knurl.
The overall height is about 16.25 inches and it’s just a few inches wide. When mounted, there is plenty of room in between other barbells and the wall to comfortably grab.
Other Notes
Make sure to put it at a level that is easy to grab. Ideally, it would be mounted much lower than what you see in these pics.
Since it’s broken out into two pieces, you’re able to adjust it to the size of your barbells. The one highlighted here is 4 studs apart, but it could easily be less if looking to mount smaller bars like 15 kg or curl bars.
