Metal pegboards are in many garages. However, they are primarily used to organize tools. While Wall Control isn’t necessarily a product marketed to the home gym crowd much, this makes an excellent storage option for many of the smaller attachments you have lying around the gym. This may include everything from rack attachments to collars or bands. Other items include backpacks, belts, magnetic timers, or you can mix in other tools if necessary.
These American-made Wall Control Panels are easy to install, solidly constructed, and more versatile for attachments than anything else available for home gym owners. They also are not terribly expensive.
Installation
The installation is straightforward. There are six holes that you need to screw into the wall (screwing in the outer 4 will do the trick as well). The mounting hardware (screws and drywall anchors) is included. It should just take 10 minutes or so to put up each panel.
Dimensions & Construction
Each pegboard is 33 x 16 inches. It sticks out just 2 inches from the wall. A few pegboards will most likely be needed depending on how much wall space you have and/or attachments that need to be hung. These can be hung horizontally or vertically. Any amount of panels can be hung side by side. Other sizes and colors are available too.
Each panel is constructed from 20 gauge steel, which is many multiples times stronger than other wood pegboards available. In addition, the powder coat is smooth, and the overall appearance is nice. The pegboards do not show scratches easily. It can comfortably hold hundreds of pounds depending on how well the weight is distributed and installed on.
Attachments
Many attachment types can be inserted into the pegboard to help hang the items. They can be added to any of the holes and switched up whenever updates are necessary. The ability to do this helps make this storage option very versatile.
These are an additional cost to the board. To fill the board in the pic below, this 140 piece set of attachments and magnetic hooks were purchased from Amazon.
While the variety packs will get the job done for most of your attachments, numerous other specific pieces will help specifically for the larger items.
Custom Options

In the end, you’ll most likely be able to find a 2 pack for under $40. Even with adding in a decent amount of attachments, you’ll likely be spending a good amount less than other home gym storage options that aren’t quite as versatile. This will definitely help to keep your home gym tidy as you grow the home gym and clean up that mess you may have on the floor.
