Rapid Rings Review

The Problem

The worst part of using rings is setting them up and constantly adjusting them. Plus, dealing with the strap that falls off from time to time is not fun. While this is not a “cheap fix,” the Rapid Rings help solve these issues.

The Solution

With a simple release or push of the “button,” the height can be adjusted in seconds with the Rapid Rings. It’s as simple as that.

The rings can be attached to any standard pull-up bar (1.3″ or smaller) that may be linked to your wall, rig, power rack, etc., in just a few seconds. A pin helps to secure the system to the bar.

When in use, there is no noticeable difference in performance. It feels the same as when traditionally attaching the straps to a bar. Rows, dips, and push-ups all feel the same time.

The Cost

You’re probably thinking these are cool, but what’s the damage? As previously mentioned, it’s not a cheap solution. Without rings included, a pair is $219 and another $40 to add the rings. You do have the ability to use any pair of rings, so if you already have some, an additional purchase may not be necessary.

Time = Money, though, right? If you’re someone that sets up rings a few times a week or 100 times a year, these will potentially save you hours over an extended period. For those of you who do this, you should consider this item. The ideal customer is a CrossFit gym.

With that being said, it is realized that many will not consider them at this price point.

Other Notes

  • Four different colored logo stickers are sent with the delivery.

  • The straps are numbered. This makes it easy to make both sides even.

  • The Rapid Rings add about 1 foot to the setup. Therefore, your pull-up bar height is something to consider if you are interested in doing a movement like pull-ups.

Conclusion

In the end, the Rapid Rings definitely help solve a problem. Rings are definitely not fun to consistently setup, but it’s not an issue with these Rapid Ring attachments. However, is it worth over $200? For a CrossFit coach, yes, but your typical home gym owner? Probably not. It would definitely be a luxury.

Nevertheless, these are easy to use, don’t affect the performance of traditional rings, and will ultimately save time. If you are not worried about the cost or are consistently adjusting your rings, the Rapid Rings would be highly recommended.
