Rack Data from September 2025

Introduction

Below is a look at rack specific data for the home gym. Please let me know if there are any other questions you’d like to see and I can build off of this.

Highlights:

  • Rogue has regained the lead over REP in the “most likely to purchase a power rack from” category after REP held the top spot in 2024.
  • 3×3 racks with 1-inch holes remain the most popular choice, especially in an ideal setup.
  • There’s been a noticeable increase in interest in “All-in-One” racks.

Below are the results, with some comparisons to last year.

For power rack choice, about 80% have Rogue and REP on the mind.

This is the fifth year in a row that question was asked. Rogue retook the lead after REP was the top choice in year #4.

  • With so many power rack options out there, will look into a better way to ask this question, but this is interesting to see since it’s 5 years worth of data.

Rogue is also the top choice for most wanting a folding rack, PRx close behind.

Rogue and PRx votes are both up from last year for the folding rack question

Half now own a 3×3 rack with 1 inch holes.

The amount owning a 3×3 rack with 1 inch holes continues to grow year after year.

While only 50% own, 86% say that in a perfect world they own a 3×3 rack with 1 inch holes.

Interest in a 4-Post Rack and 6-Post Rack is just about even.

Over 50% want a rack depth of about 30 inches.

About 58% are willing to pay more for the right power rack color.

There is little interest in owning 2 racks within your home gym

Nearly 80% want a power rack versus a half rack or squat stand.

Westside hole spacing isn’t high on the priority list for most.

About 59% have at least a “medium-level interest” in an all-in-one trainer.

Interest is up pretty considerably since last year in All-in-Ones.
