Introduction
It’s November already.
Here’s a recap of the main home gym products released in October 2024. It was a little bit of a slow month leading up to November Sales, but there are still some good ones in here!
To follow along each week, make sure you are subscribed to Knurled News, where this info is shared on a weekly basis.
Back Bar from UClips
This deadlift jack allows you to easily unload your barbell and also works as a handle for lat pulldowns, landmine rows, and more!
This is a versatile piece that includes a pretty solid pre-sale discount.
TwistLock™ Barbell Collars
I’ve been a big fan of the first TwistLock™ Pro Barbell Collars. They have actually become my go-to collars.
At $69.99, I can see why some may not see the need to purchase them, though.
However, Titan just released a “non-pro version” that is $20 cheaper.
Titan states that the material it is made of is a “High-impact ABS, polymer, and neoprene laminate. It seems like a tough and durable material that should hold up in all home gym environments.
J-Cups Fully Protected with Injection Molded Plastic from PRx
As opposed to traditional sandwich j-cups that typically include simply urethane lining to protect the barbell, this new option from PRx covers the entire j-cup. Inside is a metal core and the weight capacity is 1,000 lbs.
StrengthERG from Concept2 available next year
When Concept2 releases a new product, many take notice.
This machine aims to expand Concept2’s product lineup beyond their traditional cardio-focused equipment like the RowErg, SkiErg, and BikeErg.
It can be used for leg press-type movements, rows, and potentially more.
It is available next May, but you can check it out here.
MonkeyFeet Pro
The new Monkey Feet are more convenient than the original but come at a significantly higher price—over three times the cost. However, they include seven adjustable weight intervals (5–35 lbs), making updates easy.
This is different than using traditional plates for the original version.
For those unfamiliar, Monkey Feet from Animalhouse Fitness let you attach dumbbells to your feet, enabling exercises like leg curls, leg raises, and hip flexor movements. This expands your lower body workout options without needing specialized equipment. They are versatile and compact, taking up very little space.
Gronk Fitness – Standing Lateral Raise
Standing lateral raises are on the rise and making their way into more home gyms, either on the rack or on machines. They specifically target the shoulders, particularly the lateral deltoids.
The latest option from Gronk Fitness is built with 11-gauge steel, features plate loading, adjustable handles, and a compact design. It’s also priced more competitively than similar models on the market.
Squat Saddle via Kabuki
The Squat Saddle is a versatile shoulder pad made from patented AbMat foam, designed to improve comfort during workouts. It fits most barbells and can be used for a range of exercises, helping reduce discomfort during movements like squats and dips. You can also add Strap and Harness Systems for more exercise options.
AbMat Barbell Pad
The Abmat Barbell Pad is designed to provide comfort and protection during exercises that place pressure on the shoulders, neck, or hips.
It is Made in the USA from 1.25” thick, high-density closed-cell foam, it offers a snug fit on Olympic barbells without the need for additional straps or Velcro. The foam is moisture-resistant and maintains its shape over time, supporting movements such as back squats, hip thrusts, lunges, and Zercher squats.
Since it is so light, the barbell pad is suitable for use at home, in a gym, or on the go.
Rubber Coated Iron Plates from Bells of Steel
I like rubber-coated iron plates because they are so easy to handle, and they also help protect the plate over time.
If cost weren’t an issue, I’d consider them ideal for most home gym owners. However, they can be quite expensive.
Bells of Steel uses 100% virgin rubber coating on their plates, making them more affordable than most options on the market.
Adjustable Dip Bar from Irwin Fitness
This dip bar is designed to be a smooth, stable adjustable handle system that lets you quickly flip the arms up when not in use and adjust them to different decline and flat positions. This decline feature boosts lower pec engagement and range of motion, while also feeling more comfortable on your wrists, especially with our fat grip handles.
The Padded Wall
The Padded Wall is a rack-mounted medicine ball target designed for safe, sound-dampening, and space-efficient wall ball throws. First showcased as a prototype at HomeGymCon 2023, it is now available for pre-order.
Bar Hook from Surplus Strength
The Bar Hook from Surplus Strength is a storage solution for your attachment on the UPS.
