2024 HomeGymCon Award Winners

Introduction

In 2024, awards were introduced as a primary feature of HomeGymCon. The competition for each award was fierce, with nearly all vendors showcasing their best products. The winners of the inaugural HomeGymCon awards were Black Widow (x2), REP (x2), ExecutiveFit, and ATX. Each winner is highlighted below.

The competition for each of these awards was very strong, with almost all vendors bringing their best.

The winners of the very first HomeGymCon awards were Black Widow (x2), REP (x2), ExecutiveFit, and ATX—each of the winners are highlighted below.

You can check out a conversation about the awards on YouTube, Spotify, Apple, or wherever you listen to podcasts.

Best Booth: REP

REP showed up with a number of new products, prototypes, and a welcoming staff within one of the largest booths at HomeGymCon.

Some adjustable dumbbells were given away & they were handing out t-shirts.

Several employees also jumped into the log lift off & deadlift party.

This was voted on by ticket purchasers & all of those factors seemed to play a big role.

Fun fact – REP beat out ATX for this award by a single vote!

Best New Product Release: REP Adonis

The top three vote getters for “Best New Product Release” all came from REP with the Adonis narrowly beating out the REP Ares 2.0 and “REPPINS.”

The product with the 4th most votes was “The Dreadmill” from Bells of Steel.

Rookie of the Year: ATX

This German company, ATX, made a remarkable entrance in their first visit to the United States. They brought beautiful barbells, specialty machines, and had a very engaging staff. Each item they showcased had its own unique touch and innovation.

This left many very excited about their entrance in the US market, which shouldn’t be too far away.

Most Improved Booth: ExecutiveFit LLC

All of the 19 returning vendors from last year had improved booths I’d say.

With the competition high, ExecutiveFit brought their A-Game with custom signs, deadlift platforms, barbell storage, and even made the awards that were given to the winners.

Nate also created the HGC Deadlift Platform, which was used at the deadlift party and given out as a prize for the Strongman Competition.

Top Competition Supporter: Black Widow Training

Sanctioned competitions were also new to HomeGymCon. We hosted an Olympic Weightlifting Meet, a Strongman, and Grip Strength competition. Anyone who has ever organized a first-year competition knows it can be a difficult process. Therefore, when someone like Dean from Black Widow proactively reached out to several of the competition directors and offered support with prizes and equipment, it made a significant impact. Many companies provided great assistance for the competitions, and the prize list was sensational, but Dean was awarded for his proactive support.

For anyone who has ever put on the first year of a competition, you know it can be a difficult process.

Therefore, when someone like Dean from Black Widow proactively reached out to several of the competition directors and offered support with prizes and equipment to use, it went a long way.

Many companies greatly helped with the competitions, and the prize list was sensational, but Dean took home this award because of his proactive support.

Top HomeGymCon Contributor: Black Widow Training

Dean also took home this award, not only for what was mentioned above but also for promoting the event the entire year through his social media channel, bringing an incredible booth, helping others unpack their booths, allowing others like Weight it Out and U-Clips to collaborate within their booth, etc.

This was an award that I chose & in the back of my head, a requirement was promotion throughout the year, which is something that is incredibly appreciated and more than anything I could ever ask for.

While most returning vendors did this, a few others that almost won this award included Executive Fit, Belt Fed, and Barbell Rescue because of their constant support since April 2023 – last year’s event.

This public support greatly helped this event grow so much in 2024.
