An APF Powerlifting Meet has been set up with some help from our friends at Bells of Steel and Westside Indy Barbell.
Plus, we have five new vendors, which fills up the exhibition floor. We are pondering other areas for companies to join and have begun a waitlist.
New Products
Floor Press Pad: This new pad via AbMat was designed with Steve Ferrell of Bench Blokz. It was developed to make floor pressing more comfortable and convenient. It is created with the same materials used for the Thompson Fat Pad, so it should be extremely comfortable. In addition, it folds up and can be easily stored away.
Kaizen Rack Spacers give people with 2×2 and 2×3 racks to the option to use 3×3 rack attachments.
The Solo Stand Deluxe from Bulletproof Fitness includes a single post that can be folded up and stored away.
- It’s quite a bit more cost-effective than the Tri-Post option (3x more expensive) and takes up even less space.
- Through comments, BF made it clear that it is not going to be as stout as attaching to a large power rack or the Tri-Post, but should be plenty sturdy for most.
- It is currently on pre-order for $150 off. The overall price does not seem too bad at all.
Magnetic clamp collars at a very good price so that you can store them on your rack from Bells of Steel.
The Holey Bar is a combination of a basic t-bar attachment & the GymPin Lite D Handle Bar. Therefore it can be attached to a barbell or cable system.
The Dock (J-Anchor or Double j-Anchor) helps store attachments and barbells on your rack.
Survey Results
- Roller J-Cups were the top J-Cup Choice, beating out Basic/Standard, Sandwich, and Monolifts (in that order) with 36% of “top preference” votes.
- Only 7% say they own a single pair of J-cups in a perfect world. About half want two.
- 53% of survey respondents preferred the Selectorized Cable Tower compared to 47% who preferred the Plate Loaded Cable Tower with price in mind.
