HomeGymCon Update

Four new vendors were added to the HomeGymCon lineup within the last few weeks – Inertia Wave, Body-Solid/Rugged Fitness, and PEPIN Dumbbells.

New Products

The Zercher Pad is designed to make zercher squats, carries, and lunches more comfortable! You’ll simply need to add the pad onto a racked barbell, and wala!

Thresher Pad: Designed to take your spotter arms to the next level! It includes five adjustable angles and can be used for exercises such as dumbbell rows, and reverse chest flys.

  • This is slightly different than the recently released option from PRx & Bells of Steel because it is simply an attachment you add to your spotter arms or posts, whereas the other options include the arm.

The Adroit Landmine 2.0 is available for pre-order.

  • Remote Mount Option: Can be used in any space – designed to slide through a plate. A quick-release knob makes attaching and removing secure and easy.

  • Rack Mounted Option with just one hole and optional magnet mount for storage. Other features include:
    • Compatible with both 5/8″ and 1″ applications
    • Spherical and thrust bearings
    • CNC Aluminum components
    • The steel components are powder coated in a matte black
    • Acetal hand nut for rack protection and ease of relocating
    • Polycarbonate sleeve for barbell protection
    • AbMat barbell pillow
    • 1″ adapter sleeve included

Survey Results – Home Gym Issues

  • While the number voting as a “large issue” dropped a little bit, the top two issues from last time remain unchanged – the price of obtaining more equipment & lack of space. These are pretty easily the largest two issues with temperature control coming in at number three.
  • The bottom three were also the same – working out safely, equipment aging quickly, and finishing workouts in the home gym.

  • While there weren’t any dramatic % changes from last year there was a bit of shuffling with the rankings. For example, the ceiling height went from 3 to 7.

Product Idea – Portable and Height Adjustable Adjustable Dumbbell Storage

  • The idea here is to have some sort of adjustable dumbbell storage option that would adapt to the lift you are doing. For example, it could be up higher for curls, but down for dumbbell bench.
