HomeGymCon Update

The HomeGymCon Strongman Throwdown is a United States Strongman-sanctioned event that will be held on April 27, 2024. The meet director is Kurtis Stadsvold

The 5 Events will include:

  • Mike Bartos Press Medley
  • Primal Armor and Madewell Strength 15” Max Deadlift
  • Truck Pull
  • Surplus Strength Yoke & Black Widow Frame Carry Medley
  • Freedom Strength Head-to-Head Sandbag Over Bar

Also, PRx and Titan have been added as new vendors! There isn’t much space left with over 10 months to go.

New Products

  • The Moby Dick Power Bar from Titan Fitness is a limited-edition powerlifting bar. It features a medium mountain texture knurl, single powerlifting knurl marks, and a 4.75-inch center knurl. The knurl is designed to provide a good grip without being too aggressive. The bar is made from 190,000 PSI tensile strength steel and has a “glossy white cerakote “finish. It is available in 20kg and 29kg weights.
  • Roolox Collars slide onto the ends of any Olympic barbell and fasten your weights tightly to the bar with a simple click. They are designed to be convenient and functional. These collars also have several color options to match your gym’s vibe – black, green, red, blue, and white.
  • 29 mm Texas Power Bar: Many are finally getting what they’ve been asking for with a 29 mm option as opposed to a 28.5.
  • Double Black Diamond Power Bar: This is REP’s new premier power bar with a very aggressive knurl. It includes specs similar to other high-end power bars. Cerakote to SS options are available. The starting price is very reasonable.
  • Colorado Bar 20kg: With a 28.5 mm diameter and medium knurl, this is your “everyday barbell” that can be used for just about anything. Cerakote and hard chrome options are available.
  • Colorado Bar 15kg: With a 25 mm diameter and medium knurl, this is your “everyday barbell” that can be used for just about anything and is the common size you’d find most women using for CrossFit. Pink and black Cerakote and hard chrome options are available.
  • Alpine Weightlifting Bar – 20kg: This barbell is designed to be compliant with the IFF’s specs for male lifters.
  • Alpine Weightlifting Bar – 15kg: This barbell is designed to be compliant with the IFF’s specs for female lifters.
  • Helios Squat Bar: This one is designed specifically for squatting. It features several features that make it ideal for this purpose, including a 32mm shaft diameter, so there is no flex with higher weight, longer length, weighs 55 lbs, and an aggressively knurled center. It includes an all-black look with a black Cerakote shaft and Duracoat sleeves.
  • Hades Deadlift Bar: This bar is specifically designed so you can deadlift the heaviest weight possible. It includes a very aggressive knurl, 27mm diameter, and longer length. There will be a good amount of “whip” when lifting heavy weight. It also includes an all-black look with a black Cerakote shaft and Duracoat sleeves.
