Episode 170: WE BACK – Updated FT’s, Rhino Mag Pins, Who Are You Building Out Your Gym (Cost in Mind) and MORE

While we took a few weeks off because of HomeGymCon, the podcast which we have been doing for about 1.5 years continues to grow and we’ve accumulated many loyal fans!

We plan on doing a better job of getting these weekly updates online through the blog, and we’ll start with episode #170.

  • (3:19) ⁠REP FT 3000 2.0⁠: This FT has been updated with a sleeker and lighter design that boasts a smaller profile than its predecessor. It also features upgraded pulleys and an extended cable range, among other improvements.

  • (4:07) ⁠Nemesis Single Stack⁠: Speaking of updated Functional Trainers, this single stack from Titan now includes “longer arms and fewer moving parts while maintaining the ability to train in over 1,000 explosive strength training positions.”

  • (5:10) ⁠Rhino Mag Pins⁠: Fringe’s latest magpin has a unique “pierced nose” design that keeps it from slipping off. It’s made of stainless steel and has an anodized aluminum head.

  • (6:10) ⁠Appalachian Bar⁠: via Primal Armor, this “duffalo/buffalo bar” is ‘a normal-sized bar’ as opposed to all other options out there and also made in the USA. It is currently on a pre-order sale.

  • (7:13) Survey Results
    • 67% have purchased gym equipment this year
    • 31% go to another gym besides their home gym
    • 45% have made at least one purchase from the used marketplace with their last 5 purchases.
      • about the same as what we saw last year.
    • With cost in mind, 45% are most likely to fill their gym with REP when compared to Rogue (36%), Titan (12%), and Bells of Steel (7%) – more to come on this one.
    • 59% believe REP has released the best products in 2023 vs. Rogue, Surplus Strength, and Bridge Built.
