The ANCORE Story with Co-Founder, Isaac Lewis

Introduction

This story behind ANCORE (a portable /space-saving cable trainer) is an example of one of those times a setback ultimately turns into a massive positive. The idea of the ANCORE System was formed after Isaac Lewis (Co-Founder) injured his shoulder playing college baseball. During rehab, he became incredibly familiar with cable systems, noticed there weren’t many in most training rooms, and ultimately started ANCOR later in college.

Even though ANCORE started in a scrappy way with a 3d printer in a garage, it was picked up by numerous professional athletes exceptionally quickly. The growth seemed to begin immediately and they realized they were onto something. Since then, they’ve expanded into many facilities, home gyms, and the product’s progress has progressed quickly (now includes the ANCORE Pro).

Outside of the origin story, we also discuss how professional athletes utilize the product, the challenge of selling to the home gym crowd, the future of the company, and more!
