Some other important features include:

  • The integrated band pegs on the base and head plate allow more weight.
  • It features high-quality cables made from galvanized wire with a raw steel core rated at 1100lbs and aluminum pulleys.
  • A matte black powder-coated lat pulldown bar and straight low-row bar are included.

24. MODBar Cable Attachment

There isn’t anything quite like this cable attachment on the market. With the ability to go from 24″ to 48″, the patent-pending ModBar allows you to change the lengths and functionality of the attachment to fit the movement you’re trying to accomplish. It ain’t cheap, though.

This product was co-patented with @man_who_parks_in_gym (some call him Jason Mckee). Matt Pendergraph also helped co-develop it. You’ll be supporting them with the purchase of this cable attachment as well.

23. Barbell Stable

Bridge Built is known for innovating its way, and the Barbell Stable is an example of that (with many more to come). After its initial creation in 2022, Patryk and the team returned to the drawing board and solved many issues during the prototype phase. It turned out to be a world-class product and one of a kind. It stores 12 barbells in a pristine manner.

22. Barbell Anchor

Home Gym Community Member – Darko – launched The Barbell Anchor to help safely store barbells at the top of your rack.

There are also four different configurations to choose from. The standard Yoke starts at $844.99, and the Yoke with all attachments is just over $1,400.

We polled you guys on the level of interest, and it wasn’t too high at all. 71% expressed low interest, and only 17% said they’d consider it their primary rack.

18. REP Multi-Grip Bar

The highly anticipated REP Cambered Swiss Bar is LIVE. It includes multiple grips, hard chrome sleeves, a removable eye bolt, knurled handles, and MORE. It hasn’t been tested by us yet but appears to be one of the best on the market, with more features than budget options and a MUCH LOWER PRICE than the Kadillac Bar.

17. GOAT Attachment

The GOAT Attachment from Straydog is a single arm that can be utilized for a ton of different movements and is best known for leg curl/extension.

16. Crandall Adjustable Free Motion Swing Arms

Crandall released the most versatile jammer arms on the market when ordering a standalone package. They include the ability to swivel up to 180 degrees from side to side and up and down. In addition, they can be locked in several different angles. They aren’t priced too badly, either.

However, these arms are only available for racks with 5/8″ hole sizes.

15. Kaizen Adapters

These adapters created by Kaizen DIY Gym from GymPin turn your traditional jammer arms into multi-directional jammers.

14. Vendetta Adapters

These brackets allow you to easily set the starting position of the lever arms at various angles, making them extremely quick and convenient to set up and replicate many of our movements

13. Clydesdale Yoke

This yoke from Bridge Built includes a new cross-member that adjusts quickly and is much simpler to use than other options available today, which can be an extreme nuisance.

12. Rogue MG-4NC

This is a V2 of the original MG-4 after feedback from the community was given. The MG-4NC includes a narrower frame (7.1” wide vs. 10”) and shorter/thicker handles (5” long vs. 6.75” long, 32mm diameter vs. 28.5mm).

11. Barbell Bomb

Stop using that stupid tennis ball hack.

The Barbell Bomb is a new take on the portable landmine. At just $45 and weighing only 4 ounces, it seems like a versatile and high-value option to add to the home gym.

10. X-Series from Force USA

The X15 and X20 are a couple of versatile rack options now available from Force USA. If you’re familiar with the Force USA G-Series, these are different because they do not include a smith machine. Both have a rack to lift on (half or full), a functional trainer with dual integrated 289 lbs. weight stacks, landmine, pull-up bars, and a low-row station in the footprint of a power rack.

9. AB-4100

REP is known for having the best benches for home gyms, and they’ve released another one! This time it’s the AB-4100, which at 85 pounds, is not quite as bulky as the AB-5200, can be stored vertically, has a wide pad option, and includes more color options than any of the others.

8. Atlas Attachment

This is a multi-grip attachment that can be used as a cable or landmine attachment. It includes multiple color options, is well thought out, and will replace many attachments one already owns.

7. G10 & G15

The G15 from Force USA includes dual integrated 285 lb weight stacks with the ability to interchange between a 2:1 and 4:1 pulley ratio. In addition, this unit includes a rack with Westside spacing, a smith machine, a pull-up bar, and more. It’s an upgrade to the G6 and G12. Use promo code GGE5 to save!

6. REP SSB

The New REP SSB weighs 68 lbs, includes a large distance between cambers for easy racking on all racks, a metallic black powder coat, knurled handles with a bright chrome finish to help avoid rust more features to make it comfortable to use. Plus, it’s at a price that most can swallow.

5. REP Open Trap Bar

The REP Open Trap Bar is arguably the most anticipated product of 2022, and it’s finally been dropped.

image

Some of the top features include:

  • It’s Balanced, which is a better experience than having the back side of the open trap bar on the ground to start.
  • Removable Handles with a thumbscrew.
  • Premium Finishes with hard chrome sleeves and matte black powder coat
  • Round Tubing & Knurled Center for optimal pressing and squatting use.
  • Deadlift Jack for easy loading/unloading.
  • Rackable. This makes it easier to set up for those pressing, squatting, shrugging, etc.
image

In general, it seems like a bar that takes all of the qualities from other top open trap bars and morphs them into one.

image

Plus, the price is reasonable at $399. For reference, that is about half the price of Kabuki’s Open Trap Bar.

4. Bells of Steel Cable Towers

Four new cable options coming in at different sizes and prices are now available from Bells of Steel. Two Selectorized options are available:

  • Single Stack: 2:1 ratio, 33 height settings, and 210 lb weight stack for just over $1k.
  • Dual Stacks: same specs as above, but two of them. This one is just above $2.2k, which is about the average price of a budget-friendlier functional trainer. It can also be doubled as a squat stand. It is pictured below.

Two Plate loaded options were added as well:

3. Bells of Steel Lat Pulldown/Low Row

Bells of Steel just added a Lat Pulldown Low Row Machine to their lineup. On paper, it seems like an absolute winner.

Some additional info includes:

  • 310 lb weight stack with a 1:1 pull ratio. Therefore it’s plenty heavy for just about everyone in the world.
  • Lat bar, loadable weight pin, and band pegs are included.
image
  • It’s rack attachment compatible. You can use a dip bar, landmine, split squat leg roller attachment, and more.
  • It’s nearly 87″ tall. That’s much taller than most others out there. That’s a pro for those around 6 feet and above.
  • At $1,799.99, it is priced reasonably and a bit higher than the Selectorized option from Titan, which has fewer features. The pre-order price will save you a decent amount and is below Titan’s price.

This YouTube video gives a solid overview of the product.

2. Athena Side Mount

Selectorized and Plate Loaded Functional Trainer Attachments can now be added to the REP PR-4000 and PR-5000 Racks.

image

Both include a 2:1 pulley ratio, 540 weight capacity (feels like 270), and a D Handle Attachment.

The overall price is slightly cheaper than adding an actual functional trainer. While you can add one at a time, the dual plate loaded option is $949.99, while the dual-stack weight option is $1,799.

image

A selectorized upgrade is also available that’ll add 50 lbs to the stack.

1. ARES

The Ares Cable Attachment is not a cheap option but is priced below the combination of a selectorized lat tower and a functional trainer on their own. Additional info includes:

  • It’s available for both PR-4000 and PR-5000 racks, and you must have the 16″ weight storage cross members. It’s not likely to fit any other racks from other brands.
  • It’s available for six-post racks or four-post racks.
  • 250 lbs on each stack, and an optional 50 lb add-on available.
  • It shouldn’t take too much functionality from your power rack. The biggest hindrance will likely be the incline bench. You’ll likely need to do that at the front of the rack.
  • 4 different depths can be utilized (16″, 24″, 30″, and 41″ as long as it’s paired with the 16″ for the 6 post rack option.
  • It also includes a knurled lat pulldown bar, D handles, low row bar, footplate, and some other attachments.
