Outline

(0:35) History of Schisler/Buckeye Barbell Founded by four nationally ranked powerlifters who got together to form this company.

(1:31) What makes Eagleheads popular? As the name states, these plates have an eagle head on the front in addition to some unique font that you won’t find anywhere else.

(3:12) Not Made in USA While they have an American symbol on the front, they are not Made in the USA. This leads to some controversy. In addition, you’d likely classify these as just average quality.

(5:55) Are they Vintage? They’ve been around since the 80’s/early 90s, so there is a debate as to whether these are technically vintage.

(9:00) Aesthetic Appeal: These attract more attention than any other vintage plate on the market because of their unique look.

(11:35) Value Right Now: With their unique look, the group on the podcast does not believe that the price, which is about $400 for a pair of 45s, will go down.
