(0:04) Living Every Home Gym Owner’s Dream

It all started with a problem that most of us face: the lack of space in your home gym. This was especially true for Adam, who quickly filled up his garage.

He talks about what you can see on camera is not exactly the whole picture, a lot of times having to move a lot of things out of the way to make sure things look clean and organized when that is not always the case.

Adam saw an opportunity in a storage/garage development down the road from his house and has been patiently waiting on keys so that he can start bringing in all the new equipment. After weeks of delays, he is finally getting gear in the doors.

(2:12) The New Equipment

Some new pieces brought into the space were the Prime Fitness Functional Trainer, the Prime Fitness dumbbell rack, an American Barbell dumbbell set, a custom coaches cart from Williams Strength, a vertical barbell rack, and floor storage from Oak Club.

The favorite piece right now is the Prime Functional Trainer.

(4:45) Where Does the go-to Equipment Go?

Right now, the idea is to have the higher-end equipment belonging to the new space, but this does not include his Sorinex rack, which has sentimental value and will stay in his garage.

Adam talks about doing more of his training in the new space.

(6:03) Garage Gym LabYouTube

Adam admits that video content from the garage has been a major issue, and with this new space, he plans on having the freedom to produce more video content. A focus moving forward will be having more regular video content from Garage Gym Lab.

(7:39) Preacher Pad on Rogue

Adam did not have a part in getting the Preacher Pad onto the Rogue catalog. Abmat was able to work out the details of that deal, but he is thankful to be in the Rogue store.

Jake asks Adam about his experience working with Abmat, and Adam shares nothing but a great positive experience.

(9:20) Content Creation Issues for Garage Gym Lab

Adam’s biggest issue has been the lack of space, but that will no longer be an issue as his space just tripled in size.

In addition, Jake and Adam talk about the changes in social media as growth has drastically slowed. Adam talks about his activity level on Instagram as it hasn’t been getting the same reach.

Jake also talks about the slowness of the industry and the return to normal from COVID and the home gym industry.

(14:20) Favorite Parts of the Job

Adam’s favorite part of the job is interacting with the community. He goes on to share about being able to write and edit videos, two things he enjoyed doing in the past, and now as the owner of his company.

Adam asks Jake the same question, and Jake shares his drive to create a space for members of this community and to create content that they find valuable. He also likes the business side of Garage Gym Experiment.

Both Jake and Adam were able to create a business within their hobby of fitness and gym equipment and are enjoying what they do.
