Which Adjustable Bench Wins?

Rep AB-5200 (left), Rogue Adjustable Bench 2.0 (middle), Get RXd FIDAB-2 (right)
  • The Rogue Adjustable Bench was the most polarizing one here. It had the most “Keep” and “Trash” Votes. While to most this is not the best bench option here, the Rogue brand and the fact it is “Made in America” is a big deal to many.
  • There are a few ways to look at it, but the REP AB-5200 probably came out on top with only 23.5% trash votes.
  • While it’s the newest option, the Get RXd FIDAB-2 had a combined 69% “Keep” or “Use” rating, so it held up against these two home gym favorites. This is the only option to offer a decline add-on.

Sunday Survey Results Summary

All results for last week and this year can be found here. Here is a quick summary of results from 4/25/2021.

  • 59% say they focused more on their health since the pandemic started last March.
  • Only 14.4% of survey respondents lift with kgs only.
  • About a third of survey respondents believe that it’s either important or essential to buy gym equipment in the country you live in. That means that a majority do not feel as though it’s a huge issue.
  • About 46% say they have at least 50% of their home gym from equipment made in their country.
  • Rogue, Rep, Sorinex, or Force USA? If you could choose 1 company to fill your entire gym, who would you choose? Rogue is the winner of this one, with Sorinex taking second place easily. A follow-up question will be asked next week, with the price being included.

GGE Followers Not Buying the New Nemesis Functional Trainer from Titan

On Saturday at Midnight, Titan released the Nemesis Functional Trainer after teasing a new product last week. Through this post, feedback was requested in a “yay” or “nay” fashion. With over 100 comments, there were only 3 “yays.” A summary of the feedback includes:

  • $2,000 is just too expensive for what you get, especially considering that there is a 4:1 ratio (so if 100 lbs is selected, you are only lifting 25 lbs).
  • Titan has been known for releasing substandard first version equipment and they will always wait until V2 is released to consider.
  • A plate-loaded option at a lower price seems to interest a good amount. That would also likely mean a ratio of 1:1 or at least closer.

Slam Ball, Strongman, Sandbag, or Rubber Atlas Stone?

Models include REP Slam Ball, GreyFit Strongman Sandbag, and Rogue Rubber Atlas Stone
  • There was a pretty clear winner here with the Strongman Sandbag dominating. Only 13.5% decided to trash and it led the way with keep and use voting.
  • Over 54% decided to trash the Rogue Rubber Atlas Stone, which is somewhat surprising. It is by far the most expensive of the three options.
  • While not popular as the sandbag, the Slam Ball was chosen as the #1 option for nearly 38%.

Trueform vs. Assault Treadmills – Which One Are You Choosing?

This question was asked in an IG Post where the feedback was mixed. With only 43 comments, it’s clear that most have not used both. This was also asked in the IG story, where Assault received about 61% of the votes. Most likely, those answering the questions most likely went with the brand they were more familiar with.

So what are the differences? A more in depth comparison will be done in the future, but here is what stands out:

  • The Trueform definitely feels closer to running on the road – nearly identical, actually. The curve on the Assault Runner is a bit larger, which helps propel the belt, so you can “glide” a bit more, whereas it’s on you to keep it moving with the TrueForm.
  • Because of this, you come to a much quicker stop on the Trueform. It takes much less time to go from a sprint to stop on this machine.
  • The monitor on the Assault outperforms the Trueform. It has the ability to program intervals, targets, and there is a spot to put your phone. These are all tasks you cannot do on the Trueform.

Overall, it’s really a toss up with both having certain strengths. However, if Trueform updates it’s monitor and adds some possible attachments for phone, water bottle, etc, Trueform would be the likely option for most.

It also should be noted that Assault just updated its models offered. The comparison above is using the classic runner as the example, which was purchased just prior to their announcement 🥴.

Hot or Not Results

The Rep PR-4000 is last week’s winner beating out the Concept 2 Rower. It’s not surprising that those are the two that came out on top. Other highlights include.
