When the Genesis Jack is posted on social media, many people have no idea what it is. Then, you tell them what it is, and they don’t understand why you’d need one. However, this deadlift jack can be a huge help when loading and unloading weight when it’s on the ground.

Wall Control is another one of those items that many home gyms have fallen in love with. It’s primarily meant for tool storage, but it’s also an eye-catching way to store your attachments, bands, grips, etc. Hangtime takes it one step further. They allow you to customize a Wall Control board with your own photos, logos, or other images (like below). Also, they have many additional pre-populated options as well.
This custom pegboard system turned out extremely well. The graphic turned out clean, and it is a nice way to spice up the storage instead of your classic Wall Control setup.

The Mistake of the Week – Buying Cheap on Amazon
When you have numerous barbells, you need some storage, which is not typically what you want to spend your money on. To save a few dollars, this Barbell Holder (sold on Amazon Prime and even cheaper at the time) was the option chosen from a company I have no experience with. It looked identical to another one purchased before from Fray (which does the job fine), so it seemed like it would be fine. However, the barbells barely fit in each of the holes, so you have to squeeze them in each time, and an insert typically comes out when you pull it out as well.
The lesson here is to not necessarily pick on this brand or to say all gym equipment on Amazon is bad, but to say make sure you’re buying from a company that you trust. “Buy Once, Cry Once,” right?
