Both bars are extremely comfortable and stay firm as you are moving. In a quick comparison, they appear to have the same padding, handle grips, and covers.
At 65 pounds, the Elite Bar does weigh a few pounds more and is also a bit wider. Nevertheless, it’s probably a difference that many will not be able to feel.
In the end, while one may have opinions on purchasing from the original designer (Elite FTS), the point of this quick post was to help answer the questions asked from those interested in the Bells of Steel Safety Squat Bar. So, how does it compare? Well, it’s pretty dang similar and the bar is a beast. It’s no longer $199, but at $249.99, it’s definitely something that those interested in an SSB should consider.
