Living Room Mobility

You’re stiff from sitting at your desk all day? Or, you can’t reach behind your head because all you do is bench press and deadlift (no judgement)? Whatever the reason, many of us aren’t as mobile as we’d like to be. An easy way to get started is to just stretch at home while watching tv or when hanging out in the living room. Here are some additional tools that can be put into a corner of your living room to help improve mobility.

Thera-Cane: This can-shaped massager is a life saver. It’s best for helping to ease painful knots by yourself (think back-scratcher but for your muscles). It’s very easy to do on your own and can be thrown into a corner of your house or under the couch with ease.

Lacrosse Ball: Similar to most of other tools below, one of these balls, can help remove kinks and improve flexibility. It’s especially great for targeting smaller “trigger points.”

PVC Pipe: So many benefits to using one of these for improving flexibility, specifically in your shoulders. It’s a common practice in the CrossFit world.

Foam Rollers: Help out those sore muscles, improve flexibility, and provide tension relief by rolling on these things.

Rubz: A bit different and smaller than a lacrosse ball. This ball is designed to to massage the troubling parts on your hands and feets. It can also be used to other muscle groups (like a lacrosse ball) and be taken just about anywhere, since it fits in the palm of your hand.

The Premium Exercise Mats from Gorilla Mats are a versatile option for those who need a spot to stretch perform cardio  in their home. There are many benefits that come from having a mat like this. It can be easily rolled up and tossed into a corner of the room.

These Get RX’d Floss Bands  are extremely versatile and are an excellent option to improve mobility.
