Sunday Survey: 6/3/2019 – Yep, that’s a Monday

If you could only have one, most prefer a barbell that spins. This is probably a good indicator of what people buy first when they initially set up a home gym.

Let’s say you workout 6 times a week and each time you workout from home, you save 15 minutes. That is just under 2 working weeks of “work” each year (78 hours). That number obviously goes up tremendously if you save more than just 15 minutes.

89% of the survey respondents said they save at least 15 minutes.

Nearly 80% own a squat rack.

One of the best investments that you can make!

Ceiling height has been an issue made known by home gym owners. Over half of the respondents have a ceiling height under 9 feet.

The options were a bit flawed for this question (can choose 3 for two different options), but it still tells a pretty clear story. Home gym owners are very active. 89% of respondents workout at least 3 times a week.

Question: What programming do you use?

While many that workout at home do not use programming, 165 people did respond to this question (with valid responses). What’s most surprising is the number of programming options listed. There were 75 different answers (even more if you count the javascript jokes). 5/3/1 and Street Parking had the most responses, but each only contained 9% of the total responses.

Question: Best ever equipment purchase under $50?

Bands dominated this one. They easily had the most votes. Nevertheless, there was a wide variety of items chosen!
